This is the sweet, sassy, and spunky Avila Gachalian.
On July 29, 2019 Avila was diagnosed with cancer, B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. After two years of chemotherapy, and with only five months left of treatment, we received the heart breaking news that Avila's cancer came back. As of July 2021, Avila has begun another two-year treatment plan. She is strong, smiling, and fighting. It is surely a major bump in the road, but we are all hopeful that she will beat cancer once and for all!
Our family is thankful to each of you for all your support, love, and prayers.

Light The Night raises funds in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
The mission of LLS is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
LLS exists to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients. We are the voice for all blood cancer patients and we work to ensure access to treatments for all blood cancer patients.
